This Vintage Beni Ourain carpet is fabulously thick pile carpet so soft and sumptuous yet so chic with its neutrality of color and Berber motifs. Beni Ourain vintage rugs are ideal for all types of interiors of the twentieth century.
The irony about these carpets is that although they might have legions of fans, if you had one, he really was all yours. Because no two Beni Ourain rugs were alike. Each was made by hand -- no mass production, no factories.
 
 
Moroccan rugs are made in the five regions of Morocco: the Middle Atlas, the High Atlas, Rabat, Eastern Morocco and the Atlantic plains. Retaining an authentic indigenous character and woven by Berber tribes living much as they did centuries ago, vintage Moroccan flat woven and knotted pile rugs are remarkably diverse in style, but all share the characteristics of bold color, thick shaggy pile, naïve yet charming motifs and lively patterns of geometric elements. Each tribe with its own distinct repertoire of designs and colors signify both the ceremonial and day to day life of the group. The vivacious oranges and sunny yellows in Morocco's High Atlas vintage rugs, the dramatic light blue and camel tones of the Rabat vintage carpets, or the neutrality of the ivory and charcoal ground Beni Ouarain vintage oriental rugs are ideal for the chic and contemporary interiors of the twentieth century.


  

Once your order has been placed, we process it within 24 hours. We ship your package with FEDEX Express (or UPS express). From our warehouse in California, delivery takes around 48-72h.

Exception for the rugs, for which the delivery time is 2-3 weeks due to the shipment size & our production process.

 

The tradition of our items is a tradition that goes back more than 500 years. These berber items were a must-have in homes during the time of the Ottoman Empire.

All our products are manufactured and shipped directly from Morocco. We stock them in California in order to have a shorter delivery time.

Our craftsmen workshops design and manufacture all products by hand. We carefully control the quality of our products before shipping them.


Some of our products take more than 180 days to produce, entirely designed by hand.

The rug is so soft and looks even better in real life! It’s made really well and after a quick hoover, hasn’t shed much. It arrived in good time, within a couple of weeks, it was tightly packed so be careful when cutting it open but it quickly rolled out nicely and looks amazing in my lounge, I’m so happy with it! Would definitely recommend!
